The Web Design Process

You've agreed to work with us on your website project. What can you expect next?

By keeping you involved at all stages of the project, problems will be caught early, resulting in a better outcome for you.

First, we will create a design in a graphics editing program (you will see an image such as .jpg). This will usually be one page, but may also include a different subpage design. Alternatively, you might purchase a template design.

When you are happy with the design, it will be transferred to HTML. It may require some tweaks to get the design envisioned exactly into a format for the web, so you will approve the design again. At this point, your site will go onto a test server.

When the design portion of the project is complete, we will add the skeleton of the website, the navigation. This will include a site map, button text, and the page/subpage hierarchy.

When the navigation is workable, text will be added. This may require changes to the design and navigation, but if we've done the first two parts right, these changes will be minor.

Finally, you will test the site to your satisfaction and when ready, it will go onto your server and your site is ready to share with the world! We will help you purchase a domain name and web hosting if necessary.

Maintenance is ongoing and may include updating text or images, marketing, or search engine optimization. You will always have access to your files, but we can also help with maintenance as needed.
